Symptoms of Yeast Infection — Page 3

Symptoms of yeast infection in men

Men can also develop yeast infections, particularly around the penis and groin. Symptoms of yeast infection in men include:

  • Irritation, burning, or redness around the foreskin or head of the penis
  • Thick, white discharge
  • Unpleasant smell
  • Difficulty or pain when pulling back the foreskin

Yeast infections in men can also develop in places that are prone to fungal growth, such as the armpits or between the toes and fingers. The infections usually cause a red, scaly rash that is itchy or painful. A white or yellow discharge may accompany the rash if the skin cracks.

Symptoms of yeast infection in your mouth

Oral thrush is common in babies, people with weakened immune systems (such as those with cancer or HIV), and people who use steroid sprays to treat asthma. The symptoms of yeast infection in your mouth are:

  • White lesions on your inner cheeks or throat
  • White patches or lesions on your tongue
  • Bad breath
  • Dry mouth
  • Abnormal taste in your mouth
  • Difficulty swallowing
