Symptoms of kidney infection
Kidney infections develop quickly, and often you will notice symptoms within a day. Symptoms of kidney infection, which become worse when you urinate or feel an urge to urinate, include:
- Nausea or vomiting
- Uncontrollable shivering and fever
- Pain in your back or groin
If you also have a bladder infection, you may notice:
- Cloudy or bloody urine
- Burning or stinging when you try to urinate
- Urine with unpleasant odor
- Frequent urination
- Inability to your empty bladder
- Abdominal pain
If you notice those symptoms, visit your doctor as soon as possible for medical treatment.
